Making a call in the RingCentral app desktop and web

You can use the RingCentral app to call other users in your organization, and if your extension has a DigitalLine, you can make outgoing calls. In order to use this feature, it must be turned on at the account level. Learn how
Starting a call using the dial pad
Click the Dial pad icon at top right in the app.
Leave the default Caller ID or select a new number in the Call from dropdown list.
Enter a number in the dial pad and dial the number in one of two ways:
Begin typing the name or phone number of the person you’d like to call to populate a list of options, then selecting the contact you’d like to dial to start a call.
Manually press the keys on the dial pad to dial a number, then click the call button to start the call.
In addition to selecting the Dial pad icon in the top right corner, you can also make a call in the RingCentral app by:
Hovering over the Call History section via the Phone menu and selecting the Start call plus button that appears at far right.
Clicking on the Phone icon anywhere within the app.

Changing your outbound Caller ID
You can easily change your outbound Caller ID when making a call by clicking the Call from dropdown menu. You can also change the default outbound Caller ID in via Settings in the RingCentral app for desktop and web.
Go to the Settings > Phone.
Under Outgoing calls, click the dropdown for Caller ID and choose your default Caller ID.
