Editing the template to enable unassigned extensions in bulk

Administrators can enable unassigned extensions in the RingCentral online account by downloading, filling out, and uploading the template in .xls or .xlsx formats. Visit Adding, editing, or ennabling unassigned extensions in bulk for more information about downloading the template.
Fill out all required fields. You can also delete the corresponding row if you do not wish to set up a particular line.
Check if Extension numbers are unique to each user.
Fill out the Emergency Response Location (ERL) or Emergency Address fields if the purchased License Billing ID is a type of Digital License. If the setting for ERL is enabled, ERL is required. If the setting for ERL is disabled, Emergency Address is required. Note: ERL/emergency address cannot be a P.O. Box because it will be validated.
Enter the user’s first, last name, and email address in the same row with the desired phone number and phone make/model.
If a user template is applied to a user, it will overwrite Site, Role, User Language, Job Title for that user based on the user template.
Note:
Check relevant data fields and correct errors in your account after uploading.
You will always have the option to fix any assignment mistakes one at a time by logging into your account.
Required fields are in green highlights and cannot be left blank.
Do not change the columns and cells in the table that are grayed out.
If you do not wish to set up a particular line, delete the corresponding row.
Do not add rows or change the order of the columns.
You cannot set up more than 5000 users at once.
Site and Cost Center only applies if the users are set up at the company or account level.
Enter the complete country name, not abbreviations, such as “US”.
For softphone mapping, make sure to use RingCentral Phone App instead of RC Phone and RingCentral App instead of RC App.
