Intro to Jira Cloud add-in

Jira Cloud software users can seamlessly use their RingCentral app to receive Jira ticket notifications and update them without leaving the RingCentral app. 


  • Real-time notifications: Jira can post notifications to RingCentral conversations whenever a ticket is created or updated.
  • Easy access to key ticket information: Users can view the ticket summary, status, assignee, priority, ticket number and a link to the ticket.
  • Install to any conversation: The Jira Cloud add-in can be added to a direct, group or team message.
  • Update tickets: The Jira add-in posts messages with interactive buttons that can be used to update a ticket’s status, due date, or add a comment from within their RingCentral conversation. 


This add-in is available for all RingCentral MVP editions desktop, web, and mobile apps. You can get it from the RingCentral App Gallery or add it to your conversations.


  • Only users with administrator access in Jira can install the Jira Cloud add-in and configure which Jira updates can be posted to the conversations. 
  • The add-in currently posts messages as ‘Service shared items.’
