Using HUD in the RingCentral mobile app

The head-up display (HUD) in the RingCentral app lets you see user extensions in real-time whether they are available or engaged in a call. You have to enable HUD on the RingCentral app to use this feature. To learn more, visit Enabling HUD in the RingCentral mobile app.

Accessing HUD

To access HUD, tap the More menu in the bottom bar, then select HUD.

Navigating the HUD interface

  1. User extensions: This shows the list of extensions you’ve added to HUD.
  2. More menu: The More menu allows you to manage the list of user extensions shown in HUD.
    1. Add extensions: Allows you to add user extensions to HUD. 
    2. Sort: Allows you to rearrange the user extensions list in HUD.
    3. Remove: Allows you to remove a user extension from HUD.

You can tap on a user extension to open a floating bar containing options that allow you to call, text, or message the user.
