Configuring settings for standalone window for phone calls in the RingCentral app desktop

Last updated on April 29, 2022
You can manage calls in the RingCentral desktop app via:
  • Floating dialer within the app
  • Standalone call window that is separate from the app (this is the default setting selection)
The standalone call window in the RingCentral app automatically detaches call windows from the RingCentral desktop app, so you can manage and handle them without focusing on the RingCentral app main window.

Configuring settings for standalone call window

  1. Go to Settings via the left navigation bar.
  2. Click the Phone tab in the left pane.
  3. Under General, slide the toggle at the far right of Use standalone window for phone calls to enable or disable the feature. This is enabled by default.
