Managing text messages in the RingCentral mobile app

Note: Some of these options may not be available depending on how your admin configured your account permissions.

Accessing the Text menu

You can access your text messages by going to the bottom menu bar, and then tapping Text.

Filtering and searching for messages

The list of all active text message conversations is organized by the most recent messages at the top. To filter messages, tap between All, Unread, Draft, or Failed

To search for a message, tap the Search icon at top right and enter a keyword.

Deleting a message

To delete a message, swipe left on the message and then tap the trash icon.

To delete text messages in bulk, tap the More icon and select messages individually or tap Select all. Tap Delete at bottom right.

Copying or deleting a text message

To copy a text message, long press the message, and then tap Copy at the bottom. You can delete the selected text without deleting the entire message thread by tapping Select to delete

Calling a contact via the text window

You can call the person you’re texting with by tapping the phone icon at the top right of the Text message window. This redirects you to the dial pad menu, directly calling the number you’re texting with.
 
Note: You can only call a user from an individual text message conversation. This option is not available for group text messages.
