System requirements | Contact Center

This article lists the minimum workstation requirements to run the Central platform and its corresponding applications.
Note: This article does not apply to Engage customers.

Computer hardware

  • Intel i3 processor or higher at 3 GHz or better. If using Personal Connection at a dialing ratio higher than 3:1, a faster CPU and additional RAM are recommended.
  • 2 GB of available memory, not total system memory.
  • Windows 10, 32- and 64-bit
  • Windows 8.1, 32- and 64-bit (desktop mode only)
  • MacOS, current, and most recent previous version
For customers using other server operating systems such as Linux or Unix, we recommend the following based on the three most common Linux operating systems:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux — RHEL 6.5 or later
  • CentOS — Version 6.5 or later
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise — Version 12 or later
There are many other variations for these non-Windows operating systems. As a general guideline, make sure that any operating system version you use supports newer, stronger encryption protocols and TLS 1.2.
In general, all RingCentral Contact Center applications support the current browser version and the version immediately preceding it. For example, if the current version of Chrome is 75, we'd support 74 and 75. Not all applications support all browsers, so check your specific RingCentral Contact Center application on this page for details.
RingCentral Contact Center applications that support Microsoft Edge only support the version of Edge based on Chromium. Legacy Edge is not supported, but Chromium Edge does have a Legacy Edge mode that can be used.
Most internet browsers are updated frequently by their developers. New versions may impact the functionality and may require additional software updates to resolve. Because of this, supported browsers are subject to change.
