Table of contents

This article provides the network requirements to ensure correct operation of Contact Center and its associated applications.

Note: This article does not apply to Engage customers.

1. Internet broadband access

  • 35 kbps bandwidth per workstation for data transport.
  • Less than 200 ms average round-tripping reply between workstation and RingCentral Contact Center servers
VoIP Bandwidth:
  • Based on the codec implementation
  • G.711 codec requires 88 kbps per simultaneous call
  • G.729 codec requires 40 kbps per simultaneous call
(For example, the number of simultaneous calls x codec kbps = total bandwidth needed)
Codec bandwidth use is bidirectional, so it is 88 up and 88 down simultaneously for a given G.711 call.

2. Whitelisting of domains, IP addresses, and ports

2.1 Firewall control

For security purposes, a firewall is usually present at the border of an enterprise network. For proper operation of the RingCentral endpoints, a set of TCP/IP firewall ports must be opened.

2.2 Whitelisting

Table 1 indicates the domains, IP subnets, and ports that may need to be whitelisted at the enterprise site to support the following RingCentral Contact Center applications:
  • Central:
    • HTTP Port 80 is optional and required only if support of HTTP is necessary. All requests will immediately redirect to HTTPS.
    • FTP is optional and required only if FTP is used to access cloud-stored files
  • ECHO:
    • FTP is optional and required only if FTP is used to upload and download files or surveys
  • IVR:
    • FTP and SFTP are optional and required only if the scripts make requests back to tenant resources and protocols.
  • Supervisor:
    • HTTP Port 80 is optional and required only if the support of HTTP is necessary. All requests will immediately redirect to HTTPS.
  • Support:
    • HTTP Port 80 is optional and required only if the support of HTTP is necessary. All requests will immediately redirect to HTTPS.
  • WFM Enterprise Web:
  • HTTP Port 80 is optional and required only if the support of HTTP is necessary. Requests will not redirect to HTTPS
Ensure IP's Allow list includes the Subnet IP's for the specific Contact Center deployment region:
  • EMEA: 35.156.38.1, 52.58.78.128
  • APAC: 52.64.174.99, 13.210.82.48
  • Americas: 52.89.35.204, 52.43.225.203
