Ringcentral app
  • RingCentral app desktop, Version 21.3.20 (Release: August 13, 2021)
  • Group Call Pickup: If you're part of call group, you can now answer calls for other members if they aren't available to pick up the phone.
  • RingOut: Call out from another device of your choice, using your RingCentral caller ID.
  • Office hours settings: RingCentral app users can set their office hours within the app, making it easier to set your availability for inbound calls.
  • Allow and block list (beta): As an admin, you can add or block domains and email addresses from communicating with your company.
  • Click to dial Outlook support: A one-click shortcut from the Windows Outlook client opens the dial pad in the RingCentral app and automatically makes a call.
  • Send files from SharePoint: This new upload option allows you to send files in your message from your SharePoint cloud storage system.
  • RingCentral Meetings language support: Your RingCentral Meetings are now in the same language as your computer settings.
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline support: US customers can dial 988 to connect to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
  • Advanced app details: View advanced app details in the "About RingCentral" section such as your video integration version, app domain, and more.
  • Telus RingCentral Video app: RingCentral Video is now available for all Telus branded signups.
  • BT RingCentral Video app: RingCentral Video is now available for all new British Telecom (BT) branded signups.

  • Virtual video background support (RingCentral Video): Replace your background with a video file of your choice.

  • Sign in with Apple (iOS only): Use your Apple account to sign in or sign up for a free account.

Call Handling
  • Call Queue Manager enhancements
    • Added a “Messages” call queue manager permission which can be assigned to users who listen to call queue voicemails and return missed calls.

    • Renamed the call queue manager permission “Members Only” to “Member Management”.
    • Added a navigation link to the Analytics portal from the Call Queue Management portal which is displayed when the manager has at least one Analytics permission.
  • Call Queue message notification enhancements
    • Added the ability to specify if voicemail messages and/or received faxes should be included in email notifications.
    • Added the ability to specify if email notifications should be sent to both call queue managers and other email addresses or other email addresses-only.
